Hand Rejuvenation
Hands age faster than other parts of the body and tend to give away our age. Naturally, we take more care of our faces and often forget about our hands. Hands are exposed to the sun and pollution just as much as our face, so if we apply sunscreen, anti-aging, and moisturizers to our face- let’s not forget to give some love to our hands!
What signs of aging make our hands look old?
- Crepey skin from loss of collagen and elasticity
- Dark spots from sun exposure
- Bulging veins and ligaments from loss of subcutaneous fat.
Treatments used to rejuvenate the hands:
- Dermal fillers like Radiesse or Restylane Lyft give volume back to the area, hiding prominent veins, and ligaments, and filling empty spaces. Both fillers are FDA approved for hand rejuvenation.
The procedure is performed under local anesthetic cream. It is practically painless. You can expect some swelling for 24-48 hours. Bruising is possible, although it is very rare. We recommend that you restrain from cleaning your hands and exercising for 24 hours. Results last for 6-9 months and injection can be repeated. - Mesotherapy delivers vitamins, peptides, and hyaluronic acid directly into the skin by tiny injections and improves the crepiness of the skin.
- Radio Frequency (RF) Micro-needling tightens and improves the tone and texture of the skin. For the best results, it is recommended to do 3 treatments at 1-month intervals.
- Microneedling is used for collagen stimulation. Allow 24 hours to rest your hands.
- Chemical peel erases pigmentation, it takes 5-7 days of peeling, and you need to moisturize and rest your hands.
- PDO threads mono or twist, PLLA threads, inserted in a net pattern stimulate collagen production.
- The Tixel helps improve crepey skin, and skin tone and texture. It is recommended to do it 3-5 times, 4-6 weeks apart.
